EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Today, the Kentucky Supreme Court will hear arguments at 10 a.m. eastern at Centre College in Danville on whether a 2022 law funding charter schools like public schools violates the state constitution — the law was challenged in 2023 after a Franklin County judge ruled it unlawful to use tax dollars for non-public education. FINANCE NEWS
- ➤ KPPA reported that investment returns for CERS, KERS, and SPRS for the fiscal year ended June 30 exceeded assumed rates—pension portfolios returned between 11.0% and 11.9% while insurance portfolios returned between 11.2% and 11.8%.
